The Beartooth Run, Red Lodge. Montana - 8.4 or 4.2 distances. The course winds up the switchbacks of the Beartooth Pass through alpine, mountain scenery, starting at an elevation of nearly 7,000 feet and finishing at the scenic outlook of Vista Point at more than 9,200 feet.

NOTE: race start time will be 7:00 a.m. and there is no race-day registration.

John Colter Run Race start time: 9:00am at the Missouri Headwaters State Park. Packet pickup race day 7:45-8:45am. This run is approximately 7 miles on paved and gravel roads and rugged trails.

It’s the 3rd annual trail run on Homestake Lodge’s trail system. Cash awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the overall Women’s and Men’s categories ($125, $75, $50). There will also be a 1 Mile Kids Race (12 and Under). The terrain is varied with a mix of old roads and single track, some steep ascents and descents. Entry fee: Adults $25 and Youth $10.

The BSF Nordic Snow Dance and Auction at the Emerson Culteral Center Ballroom. Live and silent auction items include resort vacations, alpine ski lift tickets, original artwork and more. Funds raised support community skiing, trail grooming and youth cross-country ski racing. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Live auction begins at 7:30 p.m. For tickets or Donations.

Lindley World Cup Race #2 and Potluck at Lindley Center - Lindley World Cup Race #2 format will be a duathlon (both skate and classic techniques). Race start will be at Lindley Center (drop off and pick up athletes at the Lindley Center parking lot). The race will start at approximately 4:30 p.m. Everyone welcome!!

Gallatin Glissade - Freestyle Nordic Race, Big Sky, Montana

Registration & Finish: 2 miles from 191 on Highway 64, right on Little Coyote, then 1st left on Black Otter, .5 miles left on golf course. On site registration: 7:30-9 am. $25 for 20k, $10 for 2k. The race is a fun point–to-point freestyle (skate or classic) race. Start is at 6900’, Lone Moose Meadows. Finish is at 6200’ at Big Sky’s Bunker on the golf course. Spring Biathlon Day at Bohart 
 
From 9am to noon, Clarissa Werre will be hosting a Spring Biathlon Day at Bohart Ranch. This will start with registration and a rifle/shooting range safety talk in the cabin closest to the parking lot. At 9:30am we will move out onto the shooting range and give individual instruction on shooting position and procedure. The clinic will continue with fun shooting drills and end with a 2-person biathlon fun relay race.  

Please bring equipment to ski and lightweight gloves. Children 10yrs old and older may participate. Adults are welcome too. (8 and 9 yr. olds may participate, if accompanied by adult.)  Bring a season pass, or money for daily trail fee ($15-adult, $8-youth). Bring $5 for biathlon range fee (ammunition, range upkeep, etc.)

Start of Summer training for Development Team: J4/J3 athletes.

Participants must be at least 10 years old by January 1, 2012 (J4 and older).  BSF summer dryland is designed to keep athletes fit and having fun while further developing their cardiovascular capacity, endurance, flexibility, strength, balance and team building skills.  This program is open to athletes in all sports, and is not limited to nordic skiers skiing with BSF.

Athletes will train Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings (8:00 to 10:00 a.m.) at various locations. Training will run June 15 through August 19.

2010 Jim Bridger Trail Run
10 mile trail run with 2000 feet vertical elevation change.

Start & finish at Sypes Canyon Trail Head. Post-race food included with entry. Early entry fee is $30 or $40 race day (registration closes at 9:30 am race morning). Race official start time is 10 am.  (If you anticipate a 3 hour or longer race finish, your group will start at 9 am.) 

5K Canyon Run with youth categories!  Out and back course from Sypes Canyon, start time of 10:05 am.  Entry fee $10, no t-shirt, with shirts available to purchase at finish. Packet pick-up: Friday June 18th from 4 to 6 pm at The Club in Bozeman, 448 East Main St, or race morning at the start.

Make it Hurt on the Dirt Duathlon, Homestake Lodge, Butte, MT. Race start time: 9:00am. Adults (10K+ Mt Bike and 5K+ Run), Youth Race (2k mountain bike and 1k run). Great way to start celebrating the 4th of July: music and famous cheesburger feed. This event will be run at the Homestake Lodge. The courses will be on the x-c ski trails and forest service roads. They will wind through woods, meadows and include some steep ascents and descents. Adults $30/Relay $45/ Youth $12.50 Directions: Get off I-90 at Exit 233 and head to the south side of the highway overpass. Forest Service Road 240 begins at the cattle guard. Drive 3 miles and look for the Homestake Lodge Entry on the right after the power lines. Registration form found here.
