Training ending at 5pm today

Thu Jan 7, 07:52 AM
by Kristen Westesen

Hey skiers,

The temperature remains cold—colder than forecast—and so we will end practice at 5:00 pm today for all groups.

Please dress warmly. Yesterday we had several younger skiers dressed in the thin BSF coat and wearing gloves—that is not warm enough for these temps. When it is this cold, a down coat for younger skiers (and older skiers warm up and cool down) is a good idea, as are mittens or lobster gloves and a neck warmer to cover the ears. Please, do not wear race gloves or a headband; frostbite is a real threat.

And, of course, parents it is always your choice whether or not you send your skier to training. No worries (esp. J4/J5) if you choose to keep them home.

Stay warm :)
BSF coaches
