FYI: the Outdoor Alliance is a joint org comprised of the Access Fund, Winter Wildlands, IMBA, American Hiking Association, and others that have come together to lobby in DC on behalf of non-motorized recreation.

Dear Climbers and Skiers,
If you have been enjoying the great Hyalite access this winter and want to see it continue, please take a few minutes to complete this quick survey.
The Access Fund and Outdoor Alliance were valuable assets in our negotiations last year regarding the Gallatin National Forest Travel Plan. We have a unique opportunity to help influence their ucoming lobbying efforts on Capital Hill to capture a part of the Stimulus Bill to benefit Hyalite. Your quick reply today will go a long ways to help protect the great access we are all enjoying in Hyalite.
As many of you know, in order to assure long-term winter access up Hyalite, guard rails need to be installed to help protect the Bozeman water supply. Other improvements include landslide abatement and road/bridge improvements above the Reservoir.
So please take a few minutes to complete this survey before February 6th. It is very quick and easy to do. Please forward this information to anyone you know interested or enjoying winter recreation in Hyalite Canyon.
Be sure to include the following SPECIFIC information where it asks:
Type of Work: Road Repair
Jurisdiction: Gallatin National Forest, Bozeman Ranger District
Exact Location: Hyalite Canyon Road #62
Work Required: Guard rails and landslide abatement to protect the watershed and other road and bridge improvements.
Please use your own words and write a sentence or two on how this work is critical to maintain the quality winter recreation and watershed protection for yourself and thousands of other people throughout Southwest Montana and beyond.
