BSF Training Schedules:

Training schedule for ALL athletes staying in Bozeman Nov. 22-29

· Wed Nov 19, 07:33 PM by Kristen Westesen

Please note: there will be NO VANS running this week as they will be in West Yellowstone. Here is the training schedule for athletes in all groups who are not going to the camp in West Yellowstone:

Saturday, Nov. 22 – Lindley Park, skate skiing if there is snow, running if there is no snow. 10:00 a.m. to noon.

Tuesday, Nov. 25 – Lindley Park, skate skiing if there is snow, running if there is no snow. 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 26 – Lindley Park, skate skiing if there is snow, running if there is no snow. 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 27 – NO TRAINING for all groups. Eat some turkey and do something fun with the family!

Saturday, Nov. 29 – Sadly, the only snow in town is on the South Plateau. To get to the plateau, you must take a half-hour drive on an icy, rutted, narrow, crowded road to the top, so be sure to plan enough time to drive slowly (you can stop at the Free Heel & Wheel or at the Holiday Inn for directions to get to the plateau). You will have to purchase ski trail passes (at Free Heel also) before you can drive up the road—they have a stopping point along the road where they check for passes. There is also a shuttle available for taking skiers to the plateau (check at Free Heel or the Holiday Inn for details). As we said in an earlier email, there is a skate race taking place mid-morning on the trails (they have yet to announce a start time for this race, so we can’t be sure we will be able to watch it). We will skate as that is the race technique.

On Saturday morning, November 29th we will meet at the top/end of the plateau road around 8:30 a.m. FYI, the drive from town takes approximately 30 minutes. If your skier plans to join us, we need to know by email or phone by Friday evening so we can plan to look for them at the trailhead (the end of the road) as it is a little crowded and chaotic there.
