YSL/BSF Potluck Thursday

· Tue Feb 19, 12:37 AM by Erich Pessl

Hello Everyone—

Wednesday is our last session for the Lindley Park groups! The season seemed very short, but hopefully the season was also very enjoyable for everyone.

This Thursday at Lindley Center, we will be having our end-of-season celebration (for both Bohart and Lindley YSL groups) at 4pm-7pm. You may park at the Lindley Center parking lot. At 4:30pm, there will be a short, informal race for the BSF racing program—and any YSL participants are welcome to join in. We will also have a fun ski obstacle course set up specifically for the YSL kids, as well as a skier sling shot, a bonfire, and hot chocolate.

Anyone who is interested is also very welcome to join in the BSF potluck that is held in the Lindley Center at 5:45pm. If you are able to attend, please bring a dish, according to the following schedule:
Last name beginning with A-G, vegetable dish or salad
Last name beginning with H-O, desert or bread
Last name beginning with P-Z, main dish

There are always lots of young skiers and their families at the event, so it is a great chance for the younger skiers to see the excitement that Nordic skiing provides for so many of the older kids in our community.

We hope that your children now know the basics of Nordic skiing and can take that experience with them for the rest of their lives. Hopefully, they will find that Nordic skiing is simply a great way to enjoy playing outdoors during the winter for years to come. And hopefully, many of your children will also enjoy the challenge of learning more of the subtleties of the sport by joining us again next year.

We would like to continue to improve the YSL program, so if you have ideas about how we might improve any aspect of the program, please take a few moments to email us with your thoughts.

Have a great rest of the winter—Erich
