Senior Nationals update 1

By now you’ve probably heard we made it here safe and sound (yesterday). The drive was a bit slower and longer than anticipated, but unhindered. I didn’t realize that the UP of Michigan is in the Eastern timezone, so we arrived an hour later than expected.

This morning we were at the venue, which was just swamped with athletes, coaches, and volunteers. The conditions are excellent — plenty of base, cool temperatures, and the sun was even shining! Who says the Mideast and Fareast aren’t nice places to visit?

I’ve got a couple of photos from today that I’ll try to get on this site later. We’re off to a coaches meeting for now.

Also, our plan is to have the athletes write some updates on here throughout the week, so stay tuned for those.
