Katie Gill Senior Nationals update - day 2, training

· Sun Dec 30, 09:00 PM by Timothy M. Weston

Hello there parental units and fellow skiers,

This is the ski posse reporting live from beautiful downtown Houghton, Michigan. Today we woke up at approximately 8:45, and started the day with a short run and stretching. Believe me there is nothing like this historical town. Breakfast is quite enjoyable; it includes waffles, hard boiled eggs, and cereals. Yummy!! Today we also had the pleasure of skiing, both classic and skate. The tracts and trail were absolutely fabtabulous. It was a beautiful day, sunny with moderate temperatures. There is a wonderful small wax room that we delightfully share with 2 other ski teams, BSF being the dominate team and getting whatever we want, what a surprise. We also had the privilege of having a time trial (or high intensity work out, according to senor Dragon Danevski, whatever). It was hard but there is no doubt about it we are extremely ready.

After our fabulous work we wondered to the Econo Mart grocery store. There we binged on interesting foods, mostly food that do not inquire refrigeration or does not need a microwave, for we have one microwave and a small fridge in the room taken over by Casey, Erica, and Kate. We now own all the food need for a week. Lunch included lovely American meals of Fried chicken, mash potatoes and delightful macaroni and cheese, Lander Karath. Soon as we arrive home to our lovely Travelodge five star sweats, we were all locked in our individual rooms and forced to do homework. Because we are such diligent students we obeyed. Yes Mom and Dad I am studying, why not. Dinner consisted of various foods within our rooms that we had earlier bought. So in other words we were stranded and left to die by ourselves during supper time.

As I sit here writing this and watching Bourne Supremacy I would like to sum up, this is a total party and we are having a blast. Oohh and we are super psyched about our epic upcoming races. Thank you for reading our update and we will be in touch, but for now this is Katie Gill reporting live from beautiful Houghton, Michigan.

  1. Excellent report Katie. Your folks will be sooooo proud. Ski fast and have fun to all the skiers out there. Looking forward to the next report! Neil

  2. So, let me get this straight. You guys are so hungry that you have resorted to cannabalism? Poor
    Lander.
