Hello YSL coaches—
The YSL season is right around the corner. The Bohart trails are in great shape, and the Lindley trails, well, they will be just fine (just plan to use your rock skis there for a little while longer).
We look forward to seeing those of you who can make it at our coaches meeting on Wed., January 2nd, at 4:00-5:30pm at the Lindley Center (you may park in the Center parking lot since we have the center rented for this meeting). We will give you a roster of the kids enrolled, discuss some teaching ideas, answer any questions that you might have, and go outdoors to review some basic ski techniques on the snow (so bring your skis). We will also pass out instruction booklets with ski game suggestions. If you cannot make it to the meeting, we will mail you an instruction booklet or give you one on the first session.
We will be posting program updates periodically on the BSF website, www.bsfnordic.com. Click on “news” on the left side of the home page, then “YSL“ at the top right side of the page.
Thank you so much for volunteering your time to coach these young kids. Your efforts here will maintain and build on the incredible growth of Nordic skiing in the Gallatin Valley—and teach these children a great lifetime sport.
