Western States trip information

Hello 2008 Western States Nordic Ski Festival participants,

Here is a little preliminary information for the trip:

1. Anyone interested in making team headbands for the trip, please contact Kristen.

2. What is travel wax?? When taking your skis on a trip, put glide wax on both your skate and classic skis (glide zones only on classics) and don’t scrape it off. Make sure your skis are clean. NO KICK WAX SHOULD BE LEFT ON THE KICK ZONE OF YOUR CLASSIC SKIS.

3. Parents will need to sign a waiver for your child to participate in Western States Nordic Ski Festival. More info to come on that.

4. You may want to bring a sleeping bag and pillow.

5. Don’t forget to bring extra dry socks, gloves, long underwear, hat, RUNNING SHOES, and a warm coat in addition to the usual BSF race-wear. It may be snowy so things might get wet.

6. Remember to bring snacks to eat on the bus. It’s a long trip.

7. Parents, please don’t worry. This is a fun event!! We always bring an energetic, super-qualified team of long-time coaches and wax experts so your skiers are in good hands. Should you want to contact us: my cell phone number is 406-580-0898.
