TERMS of USE; TUTORIAL

I offer a few rules here which should make this gear-swap easy to use (for buyers/sellers) and easy to maintain (for me). After the rules, I have a complete step-by-step tutorial for how to login and add your post to the gear swap.

Rule # 1: FORMAT of your entry is paramount! Here are the guidelines to format your entry:

Title should first include your name, followed by ‘selling ____’ or ‘in search of ____’ That’s it. Please keep it simple.

Example: Tim Weston selling Salomon skate skis.

Information should include the specifics of what you want to buy/sell. Include all relevant information: year, make, model, manufacture, skate/classic, size/length, men’s or women’s, colors, condition, etc. The more information you provide, the better the chance you have of selling your gear, or finding exactly what you need.

Example: Tim Weston in search of Salomon Carbon Pro skate boot, euro size 44. I’m looking for the silver model from last year.

Price (if you are a seller): name your price.

Contact information must include your name and either a telephone number or an email address, or both.

Example: Contact me at (555) 555-5555 or email@domain.com. Thanks!

Rule # 2: Re-read rule 1. That’s the only rule, so please follow it closely.

TUTORIAL FOR FIRST TIME USERS:

(you may want to open a second browser window, “Ctrl-N” if you are using Internet Explorer)

1. Load the BSFNordic.com homepage

2. Click the ‘Login’ link (center of the page, next to the Last Update information. Immediately below the purple ‘BSF Nordic’ header)

3. Enter “guest” as your login ID and “guest” as your password

4. This step is the most important: once the new screen loads, look to the right-side under the ‘Sort and Display’ heading in blue. There are 3 drop-down menus (category 1, category 2, and section). Click the Section drop-down menu and highlight gear_swap

5. Now you are ready to type your information into the form windows in the center of the screen. The first one (it looks like the Subject line in an email) is where you enter YOUR NAME, IN SEARCH OF/SELLING, _____

6. The large window just below that is where you enter the information regarding whatever you are selling or in search of, price, as well as your contact information

7. click the red “Save” button on the right-side of the screen

8. click the brown “Logout” link all the way at the bottom of the page
