Meet the BSF Nordic Elite Team . . .

BSF Nordic has three Elite Team athletes dedicated to skiing at the sport's highest level.

As members of the BSF Nordic Elite Team they will provide positive role models, support, and guidance to our younger athletes.

In turn, BSF Nordic supports them in this season leading up to selection of the 2010 Olympic Team.

Leif Zimmermann Leif

Leif, age 25, began skiing with BSF at age 14.  He competed at the Junior World Championships in 2002 and 2003, and won his first US title in 2003, taking gold in the sprints.  Leif qualified for the 2006 Torino Olympics, and is currently ranked 4th among United States Nordic skiers.

Follow Leif on the BSF Nordic News Page.

Kristina Trygstad-Saari

Kristina Trygstad-Saari

Kristina, age 24, has been skiing for 21 years and joined BSF at a young age.   Kristina was one of the best junior skiers in the world earning a 6th place at the World Junior Championships in 2002.  Kristina took a two-year hiatus from ski racing in order to finish her education at Dartmouth, and has now returned to Bozeman to train with BSF and focus on 2010.  She is making great progress back to the top, winning a Super Tour race in Telemark, Wisconsin in 2009.

You can follow Kristina on her BSFNordic Ning site page.

He won a NCAA title in the 10K in 2008, and in 2009 won the bronze medal in the 50K classic at US Nationals.  Glenn recently joined the Bozeman Nordic community and is excited to train with BSF in pursuit of his Olympic dreams.
